Student numbers in Exeter

There is a consultation from Exeter Council so I am asking again about Exeter University thinking on future numbers. Council may extend the area where planning permission is needed for a house to be used for students. I am still trying to find out how the university plans for future, say next ten or twenty years around hybrid model, some campus some online. See previous posts.

In autumn there will be another Draft Local Plan. The one last year did not show the proposed student accommodation replacing Harlequins and the Police Station. My question is just to find out if there is research on how a move online might work. I was told last year that a final Local Plan will have details on numbers supplied by the uni.

Also there is no recent news about a Education Innovation Institute. Mentioned in a strategy proposal but no update. This may not concentrate on digital but presumably includes something.

There is a section in the Council documents but not much detail and fairly short term.  Post lockdown it apears everything is back to normal. Some sort of hybrid may be happening somewhere else. The requirement for rented houses and student accommodation could be planned as one situation. Buildings may last several decades. Consider what has happened with music retail, office space, department stores. Hard to predict but where is there a start on this?
